In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth. The Earth was without form and void. God created the light and saw that it was good. God created everything on the Earth and saw that it too was good. He made mankind in HIs own image.
(Genesis 1-2, John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:16, Revelation 4:11, Hebrews 11:3, Psalm 139:13-14, Romans 1:20, Jeremiah 32:17)
The first people (Adam & Eve) were given specific instructions to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. However, they chose to do so anyway. This act of disobedience introduced sin and death into the world.
(Genesis 3, Romans 5:18-21, Isaiah 53:6, Romans 5:12)
Because of Adam's sin, humanity became full of sin and separated from God. That separation leaves us unable to solve the problem of our sin or change our eternal destination - hell.
(Romans 3:23, James 1:14-15, Romans 6:23)
However, because of God's love for the world, He sent His one and only Son to the world. Jesus lived a perfect life, free from sin. He then bore the weight of all our sins and was crucified. He was raised on the third day, signifying that He had truly paid our penalty of sin on our behalf.
(John 3:16-17, Romans 10:13, Isaiah 53:6, Mark 10:45, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Timothy 1:15)
Because of Jesus' sacrifice, we now have the gift of salvation offered to us. This gift is not something that we obtain by any of our own good deeds. It is a gift we can only receive by repenting of our sins and trusting the Lord Jesus alone as our Savior.
(Ephesians 2;8-9; Romans 5:8, 6:23, 8:1,23; John 3:3-6,16-18, 14:6, Ephesians 1:13-14, Titus 2:11-14, 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10)
Because of our salvation, our mission is to make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that God has commanded. To help with this, God remains with us through the Holy Spirit. His purpose is to convict the world of sin and regenerate the unsaved as well as to be the helper, teacher, and guide for all believers in Jesus Christ.
(Philippians 2;3-8, Colossians 3:23-24, 1 Peter 4:10-11, Matthew 28:18-20, Romans 10:14-15)
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct
We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons; that these three are equal in every divine characteristic, and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, redemption and providence.
We believe in God, the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs, of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary redemptive death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and personal visible return to earth.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came forth from the Father and Son, to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, to regenerate the unsaved and to sanctify and empower all believers in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit permanently indwells every believer in Christ at the moment of salvation and that He is an abiding helper, teacher and guide.
We believe that all men are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation. We believe that only those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior are saved from eternal judgment in hell and given the free gift of eternal life with God in heaven.
We believe in the scriptural universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized upon a credible profession of faith, and associated for worship, work and fellowship. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary tasks of giving the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world and to disciple the believers.
We believe that a Christian should live for the glory of God and the well-being of his fellow men; that his conduct should be blameless before the world; that he should be a faithful steward of his possessions; and that he should seek to realize for himself and others the full stature of maturity in Christ.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church, baptism and the Lord's Supper. We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the Name of the triune God. We believe that the Lord's Supper was instituted by Christ for commemoration of His death. We believe that these two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that every human being is personally and directly responsible to God alone in all matters of faith; that each church is independent and must be free from interference by an ecclesiastical or political authority; that, therefore, Church and State must be kept separate as having different functions, each fulfilling its duties free from dictation or patronage of the other.
We believe in the scriptural teaching of the Rapture, the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment of believers' work, the eternal joy of the righteous, the final judgment and endless suffering of the wicked.
We believe that marriage was ordained by God from creation forward as the sacred union of one man and one woman. All sexual relations must therefore be reserved for that union. Christian marriage is a representation of Christ's relationship with His church. We also believe that children are a blessing from the Lord, thus all human life is sacred and worthy of protection from the moment of conception.
