Church Center connects you with your church community and more:
Thank you for submitting your prayer request. We are privileged to bring this to our Lord and Savior on your behalf.
Prayer is the cornerstone of a thriving, Christ-centered community, and at Central, we are devoted to cultivating a culture of prayer. Our heartfelt desire is to be a congregation that embraces the power of prayer in every aspect our lives. As our lives unfold, we need to set aside time to connect with Jesus and nurture our relationship with Him. This sacred practice takes place both individually and as families, while also finding its expression during our meaningful gatherings as a united congregation.
Prayer is the act of spending time with God, engaging in conversation and actively listening to Him, just as you would with another person. Jesus himself referred to us as his friends, emphasizing the close relationship we can have with Him. (John 15:15)
However, it is important to recognize that God is our creator, and prayer is also a means to worship, express gratitude, and rely on Him for guidance and provision. (Psalm 62:5-8)
While it may be tempting to focus on making our prayers sound good, it is crucial to remember that God sees our hears and desires genuine worship in both spirit and truth. (John 4:24)
Therefore, there is not need to be overly concerned about how our prayers may sound to others. In fact, the more we try to impress with eloquent words, the less likely our intentions are aligned with true prayer (Matthew 6:5). Simply dive in and authentically share your heart with God.
Join us every Wednesday from 6-7 pm as members come together for a powerful time of prayer.
