Studying God’s Word and applying it to our lives.

Ephesians 4:22-24

…to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to b e renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

When we trust the Lord Jesus as our Savior, we are connected to Him. Through this connection, God has given us a new life – an eternal gift that presents a challenge for us: discarding our sinful life. God invites us through Ephesians 4:22-24 to equip ourselves with His likeness. Through equipping, God makes us alive in our connection with Christ. God desires to complete a restoring and renewing work in us. He wants to bring us to a place of wholeness and maturity so we can live the abundant lives Jesus came to give us.

Equipping is a task we are called to execute until we meet Jesus – a life long process (Philippians 3:12-14). God transforms our character, our convictions, and our conduct. He works in us to become the people He created us to be so that we are equipped to truly live life and engage in the mission He is sending us to do.
